The ninth installment in the The Last Kingdom series hit Number 1 in the hardback fiction charts following its release, and reader interest has been stoked by the explosive first two episodes of The Last Kingdom which aired on 22nd & 29th October.
The TV series is predicted to be a huge hit with fans of the books, but don’t just take our word for it – George R.R. Martin, author of the Game of Thrones series and a fan of Cornwell’s work, said: “Saw the first episode, and thought it was terrific. Very faithful to Cornwell’s book.â€
